Justin Mohn is an apparent schizophrenic who chopped his father’s head off during a livestream on YouTube on Tuesday evening. Now that the Pennsylvania man has reached notoriety, his personal writings, ranting, and even singing have come under scrutiny. CNN has taken particular delight in the idea that Mohn spoke out against immigration and the federal government. In other words, we are to think that he was inspired by former President Donald Trump.
Former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe said on CNN Wednesday:
“You can make some assumptions based on his claims in the video that he was motivated by politics. But, you know, the bigger picture here is that this is another example of the fact that the kind of overheated deeply politicized extreme rhetoric that you hear sometimes in this country from politically elected officials and leaders actually has an impact on these marginalized people with extremist views…who might be…driven to embark on acts of violence.”
It was clear that McCabe was referring to Trump, but being a weaselly guy, he didn’t want to say it outright. By connecting the actions of Mohn to right-wing rhetoric, it appears CNN is making a play for more censorship. In other words, they want to use this gruesome murder to the left’s advantage. You could also point out that Mohn thinks he’s the messiah, even that he’s god, and his political opinions would tend to become less relevant.
But the fact that a schizo noticed that immigration is out of control in America does not make it any less true, nor does it necessarily connect to his decapitating his own father. Instead, this is a cynical attempt by the liberal media to exploit the deeds of a mental-case.
Furthermore, in 32 year-old Justin Mohn’s rather extensive musical output, he references smoking pot more than any kind of right-wing dog whistle. For example, he frequently has the sound of a bong in his songs as a sound-effect.
Note the lyrics from his bizarre song “Sometimes” from the album Justin’s Stalkers:

“After drinking six beers
And a shot of gin
Smoking five bowls of weed
I look for love in bad places
Anywhere to call my home
I look for no familiar faces
Because I’d rather be alone
I look for fun with bad people
Anywhere to find a drug”
This is followed by the sound of a lighter flicking and then the sound of a bong being pulled, with the water bubbling.
Could smoking marijuana have intensified Mohn’s delusions to the point of instigating him into his deadly action? This is a line of inquiry that the media seems less interested in. Yet not only does marijuana make one more likely to have psychotic episodes, it can exasperate the problems of those with preexisting mental health issues.
